Genlis Metal was created in 2007 by managers from the steel and zinc industries. The company is fully independent and specialises in developing zinc alloys for pressure die casting foundries and steel galvanisers, with two main service lines:

Recovery and re-use of zinc pressure die-casting scraps and by-products

This consists of melting down the by-products of die casting (sprues, dross, turnings, etc.), refining and adjusting them to the required specification and producing standardised zinc alloys (according to European standards EN 1774 and EN 12844), which are then re-used in die casting operations. The carbon footprint of the resulting alloy is more than 95% lower than that of Z1 alloys (SHG zinc).

Production of zinc alloys (zinc base and Z1 SHG zinc)

Genlis Metal produces zinc alloys compliant with EN 1774 (Zinc and zinc alloys – Alloys for foundry purposes – Ingot and liquid), as well as alloys for galvanising steel, using carefully selected zinciferous raw materials.

Corporate values and strategic priorities

Genlis Metal is committed to building strong relationships with our customers, supporting you throughout your project, from design through to production. Working closely with our partners and maintaining a keen understanding of market needs are central to our growth strategy.

Mission and purpose

We firmly believe that a strong commitment to quality, in addition to compliance with ISO 9001 and EN 50001 standards, is vital to fulfilling our mission effectively.

Our quality policy is built around 5 main pillars:

  1. Customer satisfaction

Meeting our customers’ explicit (and implicit) expectations by listening to them and continuously improving our quality, service and production.

  2. Improvement

Continuously improving our operations through regular communication with our customers and collaboration across our departments, constantly steering our approach by setting objectives and measuring our performance against them.

  3. Our spirit

Our team’s diversity and dedication are valuable strengths, nurtured by a positive, efficient workplace that encourages individual responsibility.

  4. Integrity

Our management methods and relationships are founded on fairness and integrity.

  5. Health, safety and environment

Our proactive prevention policy helps to mitigate the risk of incidents or accidents involving our people. It ensures we comply with existing regulations, while limiting our use of natural resources.

At Genlis Metal, we are committed to making this policy transparent and accessible to all our staff. We make every effort to give them the tools and support they need to comply with the policy.
